Here are some shots of the 2012 Celebration of the Motorcycle held at the Del Mar Race Track Paddock area. This show is an adjunct to the Del Mar Concours d' Elegance auto show held annually at the Del Mar Race Track.
According to Wikipedia; "...traditionally, vehicle judging at a Concours d'Elegance is much more demanding than that of a neighborhood or general automobile show. Trained judges examine the vehicle thoroughly and in its entirety. They rate each and every component. Only those vehicles that are judged perfect (or very nearly so) in every way, are considered eligible for trophy class."
There were some truly magnificent motorcycles on display, hundreds of them in fact, from collectors and restorers all over the country, and world. It was truly motorcycle heaven! I entered my 1962 Honda C100 "Chrome Promotional Model" that I recently finished restoring, and took third place in the Japanese Division.
